Reah and Bala chose the W Costa Rica at the Reserva Conchal for their elopement. The day turned out stunning for this beautiful May elopement in Costa Rica. It was so much fun to get to know and ultimately photograph these two sweet souls originally from India and I felt honored to be included in their intimate day of love!
The spa at the W Costa Rica made for a unique backdrop to start the day off as Reah was getting ready. The architecture (reminding me of a spaceship pod) and lighting in the spa made for interesting “getting ready” shots. Along with the fact that Reah pretty much had the spa to herself – lucky us!
Once the couple was ready and looking their wedding day best, we did a first look in the garden of the W Costa Rica and then made our way to the most beautiful Costa Rican tree near the golf course for the ceremony. With the strangler fig trees’ draping vines, it made for the most intimate natural setting. It was like the jungle of Costa Rica was wrapping its arms around the couple and their elopement. Even the monkeys came by during the ceremony to offer a true Costa Rica blessing! Their ceremony was made extra special with handwritten custom vows, a tying/joining of the hand, and rice toss.
