Rachel and Amado came down to Costa Rica with their tightest group of friends to exchange their love vows. As a Santa Teresa wedding photographer I’m always flattered to be asked to shoot one of the biggest days of a couples’ life together, but when that couple happens to be two filmmakers it’s an extra special feather in the cap.
Rachel and Amado wanted their day to be focused on the simplicity of nature and love. Their ceremony was staged under the palms of Casa Capitan. As Rachel strolled down the aisle one of their dear friends serenaded them with his ukulele. It was truly a touching ceremony with everyone gathered around the bride and groom in a giant hug, wrapping them in their love. After the ceremony and stunner of a sunset, the party joined up at Casa Dewa for an intimate dinner by Chef Glenda Saborio.

A little side note – It was an extra special treat to shoot one last time at Casa Capitan before this beloved venue shut its doors for rentals and events. I’ve captured so many memories throughout my photography career there, and it has an extra special place in my heart being in my neighborhood and spending countless hours surfing in front of its beautiful swinging palms.
