Kristen and Jordan chose one of the most magical places on Earth to elope – the Osa Peninsula! I was lucky enough to call Cabo Matapalo “home” for 3 years of my Costa Rican life, and it will forever be engrained into my soul. The pure, off-the-grid jungle life there on the Osa taught me SO much about myself – how little I need to survive, how tough I can be when needed, and how truly breathtaking and raw Mother Nature is. I still visit often, but it’s a special treat when I actually get to do what I love in a place that is so dear to my heart…. I could sit here and gush about my experiences in this energetic place all day – but that is not why we are here now is it?
When Kristen first emailed me explaining that Jordan had proposed to her in Panama during their 14 month trip around the world, I knew that this couple and I were going to click immediately. She then explained how they were looking to elope on the Osa. Say what?!? Sign me UP! I’m not sure how all of these rad couples find me but I feel blessed that they do. My clients rock!
Kristen and Jordan’s ceremony was held at the lovely Bosque del Cabo; an eco lodge tucked away in the hills above Cabo Matapalo. After their intimate ceremony and a champagne toast we made our way to the suspension bridge on Bosque’s property, followed by a trip down to one of my favorite beaches in the area, Backwash, for sunset shots – oh and we snuck onto a friends property for a few shots by their epic tree. Shhhh!
Check out the afternoon below! … And special thank you to Mother Nature for playing nice on this day. 🙂
